The weekend will begin slowly in the Riverside Hotel with a yoga themed movie night to stimulate interesting conversations and get to know one another. On Saturday, the pace will pick up as you get into full swing with a scenic grade c hike provided by Northwest Adventures, ending with a yoga session on the top of the hill before returning to sea level. Day 3 will take you into the waters with a Yoga/ surf combination assisted by Strandhill Surf Experience on Strandhill beach to finish the weekend on an exhilarating high. This promises to be a brilliant weekend of fun and adventure, embracing the beautiful scenery and fresh air while learning new skills and hobbies along the way.
Prior to teaching Yoga, Blaithin Sweeney attained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and began working in TopChem Pharmaceuticals in her native Sligo, progressing from laboratory chemist to new projects manager. In 2012, she set up the Havin a’ Laugh charity, dedicated to promoting mental health through life enhancing activities.
Blaithin is originally trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa. However, other yoga styles have influenced her over the years and she now provides a teaching flow that allows a complete beginner to ease comfortably into the practice whilst also offering more challenging poses to the seasoned practitioner. Organising adventure yoga excursions are her passion and having worked with many different groups over the years, she has developed a range of courses to suit all requirements.
