The sun shone and Sligo came alive with adventure sports on the first ever Taste of Adventure weekend. Families and friends flocked from near and far to try their hand at new adventure experiences under the watchful eye and guiding hand of Adventure Sligo instructors and guides.
Some stood on a SUP board for the very first time taking to the waters and the wild. Surfing newbies donned unfamiliar wetsuits and felt the intoxicating exhilaration of wild Atlantic waves. Others bravely took to the saddle and discovered the joy of horseback riding on a deserted beach. Still others took to the hills, walking or rock climbing in the glorious scenery of Sligo. The courageous tried kayaking and explored a new world of watery wonders and the very young, took to canoeing as a family.
Taste of Adventure was all about introducing people to new and different adventure sports. See the festival gallery for fun photos of a great weekend. The good news is – you can recreate your very own Taste of Adventure every day over the summer through Adventure Sligo. Our qualified and experienced instructors are ready to share the wonders of their sport with you whenever you are ready. All equipment is supplied and you can rest assured that you’ll have the very best introduction possible to the sport (or sports) of your choice. Check out the website and book your adventure today.
